Hy,
we've installed Xitami 2.5b5 on a SUSE-Linux machine.
The server works fine, but we have a little problem using CGI (Perl) -
scripts.
I'll try to explain the problem with a little example.
A perl-script should load a file with config parameters and it's not
possible for us to set the full and absolute path ahead the config file.
After executing the script in a cgi directory off the webserver we got
the message, that the script can not found this file.
The reason we found is, that the execution directory of the perl script
is: /xitami/xitami-25b5.
Xitami executes the scripts in this directory an not in our special perl
script dir.
We found this problem with the following perl script:
my $syst = `pwd`;
print "[$syst]";
The output we got, was [/xitami/xitami-25b5], but it should be
[/the/path/to/my/script]!
How can we configure Xitami, that a cgi script gets executed in their
own directory ?
A modification of the perl scripts is not possible at time.
Best regards and thank you for your help
