[Xitami] SSI and Xitami

Hello Xitami gurus...

Having used SSI since its inception I'm struggling to make it work with my
Xitami server.

When I write an SSI command such as <!--#include virtual="page.shtml"--> the
server returns nothing in the page. As if the command never existed. Upon
checking the source, there is nothing there where the command should be.
Strange indeed. I don't even receive an SSI error in the page or in the
logs.

I have SSI enabled in the admin setup. I have .ssi, .shtm, .shtml extensions
enabled.


Any ideas???
