As I stated in a previous email that all you need to do is setup your own
name server with a FreeBSD box or any other OS that will handle a NameServer
  Then you need at least two static IP addresses to Bind to the ns1 and ns2.
 This is the reason why outsourcing is so popular for the way to go as most
people cannot get a static IP block and then most people cannot setup a
Linux box.  It can be achieved under NT/2000/XP but then again, who would
take the chance with sub standard software such as M$ products.

For DNS, try zoneedit.com, which is free for the first 5 domains, or try the
Dynamic DNS service list from http://directupdate.net/links.html. You can
also search for 'free DNS' on the internet.
